Designed for foragers, forest workers, and gardeners, this event combines hands-on learning with practical field experience. You'll gain invaluable knowledge about poisonous plants, fungi, bugs, pesticides, and invasive species. By the end of the day, you'll be confident and equipped with the skills needed to safely interact with the environment.
Learning
Our day begins at our facility in Milladore Wi, where you'll engage with experts covering a range of topics, including:
- Identifying Poisonous Plants and Fungi
- Effects on Humans and Animals
- Hazardous Bugs and Management
- Pesticides
- Invasive Species and their Impact on Local Ecosystems
Field Exploration
After a short morning of absorbing knowledge, we'll hit the field to put theory into practice. We'll visit 2-3 diverse sites, each offering unique learning opportunities. In the field, you'll have the chance to:
- Apply Identification Skills
- Handle Bugs in Action
- Examine Invasive Species
- Identify Pesticide use
Forager's Lunch
Experience a unique, nature-inspired meal with our forager's lunch. Enjoy a meal made from safe, locally-sourced ingredients, and discover tips for incorporating wild edibles into your diet.

Lodging and Accommodations
We offer no lodging for this one-day event. There are hotels 15 minutes away in any direction if you are coming from out of town. Lunch will be provided. Children are not allowed to attend in the field.
